This bachelor thesis is concerned with environmental awards of hotels and their impact on the customer’s choice of hotels. The theoretical part describes specific terms connected with the hospitality industry, ecohotels, green management and various ecological awards. They enable better understanding of the practical part of the thesis. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the impact of the awareness of diverse environmental awards on the customer's choice of hotels. A survey addressing this problematique whose results are analysed at the end of the practical part was used in order to evaluate the results properly. The survey analysis indicates the postitive attitude of respondents to environ-mental procedures, which are used in hotels. However, the knowledge of ecological awards is not a key factor which could influence the demand of accomodation.

Green management of accommodation facilities

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the application of principles of green management in selected accommodation facilities. The first part of the thesis summarizes theoretical knowledge of the area of accommodation facilities, hotel management and green management. This information serves as a basis for the second part, which analyses the common and different principles of green management on practical examples in eight hotels. At first, analytical part deals with elements, which are used in particular hotels and after that compares the data between examined hotels and relates it to the knowledge of the theory. The bachelor thesis shows that the hotels without certification try to protect the environment, but they are mainly focused on satisfying of economical goals, what greatly limits the application of the principles of green management.

Green management as the current trend in accommodation services

The purpose of this work is to analyze the issue of Green Management and to carry out research on the accommodation used by Green management and to find out how customers perceive this accommodation. OASA Autocamp was selected for research in this work. Research explores how customers perceive this accommodation and how satisfied they are with it. This thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, Green management is analyzed as such and briefly explained the procedures of marketing research. The practical part is focused on the research itself, where the goal of the thesis and its research questions are defined and the results of the whole research and its interpretation are presented. In conclusion, the recommendations are based on the results of the research.

Potential of Environmental Measures in Accomodation Establishments in Jindřichův Hradec region

Environmental protection is a topical issue that concerns all areas of living. This thesis investigates whether the accommodation establishments realize their influence. It deals with the issues of sustainable tourism and how the accommodation establishments contribute to it by the implementation of green management. Its aim is to determine whether managers of these establishments in the Jindřichův Hradec area apply environmentally friendly management practices and to describe their motives for such behaviour. Furthermore, the thesis analyses environmental measures in each accommodation and their success in application The data were obtained by telephone, e-mail and personal interviews. The outcome is the analysis of the current state of environmental measures in the accommodation establishments and the subsequent processing of the plan of possibilities for their future development in the field of ecology.

Potential of Environmental Measures in Accomodation Establishments in Pelhřimov region

The thesis focuses on accommodation facilities in Pelhřimov Region and its goal is to find out the environmentally friendly behaviour. The work also examines whether accommodation facilities utilize environmental measures and whether they have established an environmental policy or so called green management. The issue of environmental protection is a worrying trend at present and therefore the results of this work will be very beneficial to the operators of accommodation facilities. First all the concepts related to the environment and all issues associated with environmental protection are explained. The research is conducted through interviewing. Respondents were asked personally, by phone or via e-mail. Based on the result of the research, the environmental measures that save costs in different areas and are environmentally friendly are recommended to the leaders of accommodation facillities.

Potential of Environmental Measures in Accomodation Establishments in Železná Ruda region

The aim of this bachelor thesis were to identify existing environmental measures in accommodation facilities in the Železná Ruda region, evaluate experiences of their operators and to propose options for the future development of these accommodation. Information from individual operators of accommodation facilities were collected by a questionnaire survey. The results of research together with proposals for possible future development of accommodation facilities in the Železná Ruda region are included in the practical part.
